EZconn Corp., a leading manufacturer of components for the FTTx market and first mile access solutions has extended its international base by opening an R&D center for high-end OSA (Optical SubAssembly) development in Trutnov, Czech Republic. This new 100% subsidiary of EZconn is targeted at developments of OSAs with higher data rate and complexity.

Opening the new location in which up to 35 engineers will be employed marks the final step of integrating the former FTTx business of Infineon Technologies which was acquired in August 2005. “We had the opportunity to strengthen out technical competence by keeping the best experts in the optical components industry and this will further improve our growing international footprint and ability to better serve our customers worldwide” states Dr. J.Y.
